

Six sailors suffered minor accidents when a fireplace broke out aboard the USS Abraham Lincoln off the coast of Southern California, the Navy stated Wednesday.
A press release from the workplace of the Commander of the third Fleet stated the hearth aboard the nuclear-powered plane provider occurred on Tuesday morning and was rapidly extinguished, permitting the ship to renew operations.
“The fireplace was rapidly recognized and extinguished by the crew’s fire-fighting efforts,” in accordance with the assertion.
“Six Sailors aboard are reported to have suffered minor accidents and have been handled aboard the ship.”
The Navy stated the warship was conducting routine operations roughly 30 miles off the coast of Southern California.
“The reason for the hearth is underneath investigation,” the Navy stated. “Abraham Lincoln will proceed to function within the space.”
