Suspended Dodgers pitcher Trevor Bauer has been hit with a lawsuit for alleged sexual assault filed by the lady who accused him of the purported assault final 12 months — and whom he later sued for defamation, in keeping with courtroom papers obtained Thursday.
The San Diego lady had alleged that Bauer beat and sexually abused her. She later sought a restraining order towards him that was denied, and Los Angeles prosecutors mentioned in February there was inadequate proof to show the lady’s accusations past an affordable doubt.
In April, Bauer sued the lady, together with The Athletic, Deadspin and the author Molly Knight for defamation, after his accuser’s allegations grew to become a nationwide information story.
In her counterclaim for battery, filed Tuesday in Los Angeles federal courtroom, the lady once more alleges that Bauer punched and choked her on two events throughout intercourse in 2021.
Bauer has denied the allegations, insisting that he and the lady had a consensual relationship that included “tough intercourse.”
Within the lady’s lawsuit, she claims her “life has been was a nightmare by a strong man who mercilessly battered her and counted on going through no penalties in anyway for his despicable conduct.”
The pitcher has been suspended for 2 seasons with out pay by Main League Baseball. He has appealed the ruling.
