Assemblymember Marie Waldron introduced Tuesday the allocation of $8 million in state funding to construct a brand new station on Interstate 15 for the Deer Spring Hearth Safety District.
The cash shall be used to construct a brand new facility on the intersection of Deer Springs Highway and Interstate 15 north of Escondido.
Waldron stated the brand new station will enhance emergency response alongside the I-15 hall, which has seen a major improve in inhabitants and enterprise lately.
“I’ve been working for years to enhance security and wildfire resilience within the rural areas of San Diego County,” Waldron stated.
“I’m blissful that my efforts to safe these funds have been profitable and that the Deer Springs Hearth Safety District will be capable to shield cities and rural communities all through the county for many years to return,” she added.
The district presently has three fireplace stations situated in Escondido and San Marcos.
Waldron, a Republican, represents the seventy fifth Meeting District in east San Diego County.
