
A stop-motion drawing animation of Dr. Anthony Fauci by San Diego/Tijuana artist Hugo Crosthwaite has been chosen to look within the Nationwide Portrait Gallery in Washington.
The portrait is one in all six honoring “extraordinary people who’ve made transformative contributions to the US and its individuals” as a part of the 2022 Portrait of a Nation Awards.
Different portraits have been of chef and humanitarian José Andrés; Grammy Award–successful music govt and philanthropist Clive Davis; Academy Award–nominated and Peabody Award– successful filmmaker Ava DuVernay; legal professional and kids’s rights activist Marian Wright Edelman; 23-time Grand Slam champion and entrepreneur Serena Williams; and fellow tennis champion, entrepreneur, and pay fairness activist Venus Williams.
Six of the works have been newly commissioned and one is a just lately acquired, never-before-seen {photograph}.

Crosthwaite was born in Tijuana in 1971 and grew up in Rosarito. He graduated from San Diego State College in 1997 with a level in utilized arts and sciences.
